General information

Tableau Release Navigator workbook is a very handy workbook to help Tableau users discover what features were released between Tableau versions. It is hosted in 🔗Tableau Public. This is a workbook with high visibility and higher traffic, and good quality and consistency are key.

The goal of these projects is to localize the Tableau Release Navigator workbook and the underlying data source to create a new fully localized workbook file in all supported languages. 

Each release, in time for UA-Main release to web (RTW), Tableau makes updates to the Release Navigator workbook and underlying data files. Therefore Jonckers engineering team prepares translation packages containing the following two files:

• Tableau Release Navigator - Easily Compare Tableau Features.twb (main workbook file)

• Tableau Whats New Feature List.xlsx (data file which contains a list of new features added, changed, deprecated or retired features during that release)

It is very important to ensure 100% consistency between the workbook and data files. Otherwise the localized workbook won’t work correctly in Tableau Public.

Since the translation is done in Trados Studio, the same translation process and instructions apply as for the ➡️UA-Main files.
